trinity question 2

See wiki definition of trinity below.

When Jesus died on the cross -- what exactly did that entail? Did only his bodily form die? Or did his aspect of the trinity "die" too?

In other words, for three days after his death on the cross, was there only a "duality" of Father and Holy Spirit? Because, you know, Jesus was dead, wasn't he? Truly, totally dead?

And if the trinity existed in those three days, then isn't the "death" of Jesus less significant, since he really wasn't dead? He still existed as part of the triune God?

What do christians believe?

Greetings Bob McKo

True Biblical Christianity teaches that:

a) there is solely one GOD the Father!
Jesus identified the Father
as the only true GOD!
[John 17.3, 1 Cor. 8.4,6]

So the Bible does not teach the so-called doctrine of the trinity, that is, that GOD is 3 persons.

Rather there is solely ONE Being, ONE Person who is GOD: the Father.

b) Thus Jesus of Nazareth is
the human Son of the ONE GOD.
Jesus therefore literally died like every human dies!
He gave up the ghost!
i.e. breathed his last breath
[Mark 15.37,39; Luke 23.46, John 19.30]
Jesus indeed was totally dead.

However, after 3 days, the ONE GOD, the Father, raised Jesus from the dead.

(Rev 1:18) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Therefore Bob McKo, in answer to your questions on the trinity,
I recommend this video:
The Human Jesus

Take a couple of hours to watch it; and prayerfully it will aid you in your quest for truth.
