Working on ragtime guitar again. Putting jazz aside for now. I've got my wrist up to where I can do some fingerpicking without pain. Just gotta take it easy. Not too much each day. Getting better with different picking patterns. Recharged the batteries in the VG strat and got it set on 12 string acoustic mode. Sounds great! I'm working more on picking patterns in ragtime chord changes, and less with melody. Getting the picking patterns down first with the chord changes -- then I'll add the melody notes.
working with Kenny Sultan's book, Blues Guitar Legends, which has a fair amount of ragtime pieces in it, along with country blues stuff.
